I will definitely write more about this match, becasue it was amazing! However, since I don't have the pictures from it yet, they were taken by a professional cameraman, I will just say that, we won!!! There were 7 teams there. We played 3 games. I got to pitch 12 times, 6 in the 2nd game and 6 in the 3rd game (6 pitches= an over) and we played with 5 overs in a game, so 5 of the 6 people on our team pitched each game. Then the teams would switch fielding and batting once. I also caught a ball in the 2nd game to get someone "out." Our president, Sally high-fived me. She is a really good cricket player and does not really talk to you unless you good and serious about cricket. She is English but grew up in Zimbabwe. An out does not mean that the person is done batting, for that happen the player needs to be "retired," and I have no clue how that happens. That is why I did not get to bat, we won our games and only 2-3 people had batted. All these rules were only the case either in this "tournament" or in indoor cricket. I thought it would be a little weird to play an actual game in a small gym with plastic/ toy stumps and a rubber ball, plus the 2 really good people that played on this team for a while were all complaining. But, once we started playing, it was not that bad. And, like I said I had a blast! Anyway, here is a picture of the medal everyone on my team got. On the back it says, "winner 2011" The front is a picture of a cricketer batting. I am so pumped, I worn it the whole way home and it is now already on my bulletin board.
