Haggis tour 2 "Highlands tour" -Sunday Oct. 16th-part 1

William Wallace Monument. All the history/battles we learned about had the same themes: they were always Scottish vs. British. The Scottish were always out numbered. They fought well with brilliant strategy and there were always very heavy losses on one of the sides- massacres- and something tragic always happened to the leader of the group.

Picture from the top of the mountain where WW monument is on.

What people think WW looked like.Total guess. The movie Braveheart is inspired by Wallace. However, it is very very inaccurate. At the bottom of the mountain on which this monument sits, there used to be a statue of Mel Gibson as WW; but students kept defacing it, so they eventually took it down.

The very steep trail I walked up to get to the top.The tour guide called it the William Wallace Workout.

WW was very out numbered and loosened the bridge so only 1/2 the English soldiers got over before it collapsed. Then the Scottish killed them all. This is the bridge rebuilt. Or it is the bridge we are on. The tour guide and bus driver disagreed.

Honey. Kid of the famous Highland cow...

Honey and Heather. Kid, not really, someone else the father, and wife to famous...

HAMISH!

It was actually very sad to see animals like this and with people making huge amounts of money off them- very touristy.

Cool pic of trees on the mountain side.

2nd fish and chips ever. Really good again. And no bones this time! The person I was with said that if they prepare it right, there should be no bones. It is cool that St. Andrews is so small that the person I hung out with all day I met during enrollment, I will not call it advising! I was not a fan of her then, too talkative. But today I learned she is not and she is very nice. I also learned she lives in the flat right next door to me. Cool. And, actually the person I hung out with all yesterday, someone I knew from orientation week, that thought this girl talked to much too, was the one that would not shut up.

Clan burial grounds in Killin.

"waterfall" We stopped at the stop for lunch and mainly this...oooookkkkayyy.....
