So, yesterday I went to the opening ball. I was very excited. It took my an hour to get ready. I was looking hot, if I do say so myself. I have my hair half up and half down, which was curled. Meg, Faye, Romona, and I took a taxi to Younger Hall. The coaches, turned out to be buses, like greyhound buses. They smelled like airplanes. It took forever to load them, not very organized. The guys in charge were wearing matching plaid pants and matching bow ties, in their club colors- gold with a maroon stripe. We got here and stood in the coat check line, in a muddy field for about 40 minuets. There was also some rain... lovely. We were 10 people away and they said there was no more room for coats. So, then we went to check out the food, outside, next to the port-a-potties. But, we decided to go inside, instead of waiting in the rain. We got in the tent and there were so many people. We found 3 chocolate fountains. I got 3 pieces of pineapple- which they served to you. We then realized that this was the only food. The food outside was hamburgers and it coast 3 pounds. We got a glass of champagne when we entered, not that I had any. They ran out of the champagne and the other drinks at the bar cost money. It was even 1 pound for water. So, lets recap, we have been there for a little over an hour, there is no food, no drinks, lots and lots of people, trash, including shards of plastic from the champagne glasses, everywhere-mostly the floor, because there are no trashcans. There are about 5 little round tables to stand at- oh what, those are full of trash too, and there are about 30 places to sit, in a little corner of the tent. The seats were ottomans and little tables. There was live music in another connecting tent, which no one was dancing to and a Shisha lounge (it is like Hookah). After 3.5 hours, we left. We went outside and the carriages where... taxis. yay... Faye and Meg were drunk. It was not a ball, it was a frat party. It would have been better to wear bluejeans not black tie. My high heels are muddy and someone spilled something gummy on my shawl. After a snack and talking with David, Douglass and Meg, then just Meg, I was asleep by 1. So, the big question, where did the 32 pounds, the ticket price, go?
Woww you're friends sounds obnoxious!
