reading week pics continued

The tour bus.

Shankill.

Shankill. Both sides had murals and whatnot reminding everyone that the other side has killed their innocent people.

Lots of murals. When I was walking to this area, off the main road- Shankill Road- everyone was staring at me. I think it is one of those places where everyone knows who lives in their neighborhood. I felt a little uneasy and went back to the main road.

A mural with an American flag. Shankill was very anti-violence/ conflict/ very humanitarian/ anything mean against other people, no matter what country it was happening in.

The opera house. It was bombed at one point and the only thing that survived was the billboard that said the play that was on... that night it was "chitty chitty bang bang"

300 year old pub. Oldest in Ireland.

I had dinner in the pub.

Original hand made bricks still there.

The B&B I stayed at. Nicest lady ever ran it!

Falls Road.

Falls Road. In the distance you can see the peace wall and the Shankill.

Falls Road. They are the ones that want to be part of Ireland, so a lot of their signs are in Gaelic too.

One of the gates that shuts at night.

My bus to the Intl' airport. A little over 30 minuets away. I got a little lost on the way and thought I was going to miss my flight, especially after the security thing. I got to my gate with a minute or two before it close- they had not even started boarding yet.We still got into London 45 minuets ahead of schedule.  There is also a city airport, the George Best airport. One of Northern Ireland's heroes- best football player to come out of N Ireland ever! also murals painted of him.
